CEREA. Center for education and research in atmospheric environment A joint Laboratory École nationale des ponts et chaussées, EDF R&D. CEREA is committed to an ambitious scientific policy to tackle the challenges of modeling the physico-chemistry of the atmospheric boundary layer and its environmental impact. > Read more > Read more Research areas Dynamic of the atmospheric boundary layer Atmospheric chemistry, aerosol and air quality modeling Data assimilation, inverse problems, and machine learning Chiffres clés 10 permanent research staff 13 postdoctoral students 11 PhD students 16 publications in 2024 Mechanics and energetics more information > more information > Research activities focus on air pollution and micrometeorology of the lower layers of the atmosphere. They cover a range which extends from academic research (aerosol modeling, data assimilation and inverse modeling, dynamics of the atmospheric boundary layer) to impact studies (impact of activities linked to the production of thermal or nuclear energy, impact of activities linked to transport), including modeling and forecasting by numerical simulation of the reactive transport of pollutants on a regional scale or even small-scale modeling (urban, thermal pollution of buildings) and the estimate of productibility for low-carbon solar andwind energies.
